At SJCCC, palliative care is available for patients requiring additional support nearing the end of life. Our staff, physicians, and nurse practitioners provide compassionate care to the mind, body, and soul, to meet the needs of the individual and their loved ones.
The dedicated members of the multidisciplinary team work together to provide compassionate and supportive care to our patients and their loved ones. They are committed to meeting the emotional, spiritual, and unique needs of each of our patients.
Our patient-centered approach to care ensures that dignity is maintained, and offers comfort, care, and hope to all those who need this service. The palliative program provides pain and symptom management, combined with emotional and spiritual support, to patients at the end of life. Care is provided to patients by a multidisciplinary team that offers pastoral care, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy services, dietary services, physiotherapy, social work, speech and language pathology, and recreation programs.
